Some shops make it easy to find nice things to say about them. This is one of those shops.

Beneficial Care Collective is an all around class act IMHO(in my humble opinion). They seem to have put serious thought into each aspect of the experience, from a consumer’s point of view. They seem to have really put together a class act dispensary that offers everything from an easily accessible location with close parking, to relaxing waiting areas. B.C.C. has a very efficient member verification process, security was tight but never an issue. I must say they even had cheaper prices on some products, than I had ever seen anywhere else. All this and kind knowledgeable staff members to boot.

As you can see from the main photo (click to enlarge) Beneficial Care Collective is a store front dispensary. It is located in downtown San Diego with a parking lot diagonally across the street. Parking is easy and safe. They are open late so I was able to go downtown after rush hour and got there around 7:30. Since it was late parking on the street was available, but with the parking lot so close I figured I could get in, register, buy and get out before the parking lot attendant even noticed my car. I was right.

I got in and out in about 35 minutes. They had me fill out their standard paperwork. The clerk then called it in or whatever they do to verify. About 5 minutes later the clerk handed me back my medicinal marijuana referral information and told me I was verified. They then took me to another waiting room, only after photographing me for my own B.C.C. ID card. My new found friend told me that from now on I would only need to show my new B.C.C. ID to enter. Cool I thought to myself. As I had said before I was then allowed into another waiting room. In all the waiting rooms they have cable television which is nice I guess if you have to wait very long. Something to look at I guess. Not the most comfortable chairs in the world, but good enough for the 5 minutes I was waiting in each room.

Once they let me into the “inner sanctuary” I was very pleased with myself for making the decision to check out Beneficial Care Collective. They don’t have the worlds largest selection. They don’t have the cheapest prices. What B.C.C. does have is a nice selection and reasonable prices. What I really liked was the diversity in their selection. They have 3 gram mix bags for $25.00. This is a nice deal at less than $10 a gram, no matter how you slice it. So I picked up a bag to try it out. I also picked up an eighth-1/8 of Super Green Crack and a quarter-1/4 of, what B.C.C. had labeled as O.G. x Bubba Kush. I had always held a high opinion of the strain – Green Crack which is why I picked up the super strain. However the reason I picked up the O.G. x Bubba Kush, was 100% for its looks. As you can see from the picture to the right, it has purple, white, green, red and orange colors in it. I just had to get some. So I took a gram and a half of the Super Green Crack and a gram and a half of the O.G. x Bubba kush and ground it all up and mixed it with my 3 gram mix bag. This gave me a very potent six gram mix bag that I use on occasions when I feel like rolling a cherry joint. I highly recommend it.

For me no purchase is complete without getting a few edibles. If you are interested in edibles, then the B.C.C. staff will tell you they have some of the most potent cookies and cakes available at any San Diego medicinal marijuana dispensary. They have two different display cases with edibles to choose from. One case offers regular potency edibles and the other has what the bud-tender called their super potent edibles. I picked up a chocolate brownie super edible and one of their super edible peanut butter bars. I waited until the next morning to eat the edibles. I had not yet smoked so I ate all my edibles and waited. Sure enough, they are potent. I wasn’t sure how stoned I was, until I finally found the phone I was searching for, once it started ringing in my hand ringing.

One thing I have to press upon with this review, is what I am referring to as my new hookup. Hash oil! I had never tried hash oil before. I guess I bought it because the bud-tender was such a good salesman because I had never tried it before and I didn’t even know what the hell I was going to do with it. I like hash. I like the way it burns and tastes smoother. It’s a concentrate, so I can use less and get the same effect. However, my problem has always been finding easy was to smoke it. So now I am here at home and I got this Kush hash oil but I don’t know what to do with it. It comes in a little compact container like oil paint or lip balm would come in. So a opened it up and put my finger inside. Half expecting it to be hard like brick hash. But no, this is a thick oil resin. At that moment it dawned on me I can take a bud, dip it in this oil and smoke it in a bowl, easier than I have ever smoked hash before. So that is exactly what I did. I have to tell you it is now one of my favorite ways burn. It is so much smoother and the bowl lasts 10x times longer.

In conclusion, two thumbs way up for Benificial Care Collective. They are not the biggest, or cheapest but they have a nice select of high quality products at reasonable prices.
